Support the Courtroom Accountability Project

Justice should never depend upon a person's income.

For more than thirty years, the Courtroom Accountability Project and the Equal Justice Project have investigated police misconduct, supported victims and families, trained future investigators, exposed institutional failures, and developed technology that makes accountability more accessible.

Your support helps us continue providing investigative assistance, public education, evidence organization, records research, scholarships, training, and modern tools for people who otherwise might have nowhere to turn.

Why Your Donation Matters

Investigating Police Misconduct

We investigate allegations of police misconduct, government abuse, civil-rights violations, and failures of accountability. Our work has helped expose patterns of misconduct, preserve evidence, strengthen public awareness, and encourage institutional reform.

Helping Victims and Families

We provide investigative assistance to victims of police misconduct, domestic-violence survivors, incarcerated individuals, families seeking answers, and underserved communities trying to understand what happened and what evidence may exist.

Building Investigative Capacity

Through training, internships, mentoring, and scholarship support, we help prepare future private investigators and accountability advocates, with particular attention to women, minorities, veterans, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and underserved communities.

Technology for Justice

Donations support JusticeLink AI, secure case workspaces, evidence indexing, public-record research, investigative reporting, client communication tools, and technology that helps a small nonprofit serve far more people.
